purchase items they had on display....rather it be beds, washer/dryers, cabinets, campers, and so on...like the stage would be almost like on a turn table, and would spin around so the winner can choose what they wanted to buy with their money they had won kinda like "window shopping"....do I remember this right or am I combining two games shows into one? I seen to remember this back in the 80's....Please help me clear my head...
Thanks a Lot!!

Yeah, the winner one round would pick out prizes from the "living room" (an armchair, a tv, a lamp) and then the next round from the "kitchen" (a microwave, a mixer) etc. And the money left over you could either get as a gift certificate or "on account" which meant it carried over to the next round, but you'd lose it if you went bankrupt--however, once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep!

Yes A lot of tacky stuff too. Every now and then someone had to buy the life size ceramic dalmation for $250. Actually I think the show was much more entertaining.

When it first started out with Chuck Woolery as host they would have a certain room on display(kitchen, game room, family, room, etc.). You could either purchase items or save the money on account. If you didn't go bankrupt and win another game you add the new money with the saved money. I liked it better that way.

You are absolutely right. They used to win so much money then spend it on items on display.....furniture, pool table, etc. Even a dalmation dog - not real of course. So, you're not losin' it - you got it right. lol lol
