i was using a proxy to connect to certain websites, was a program not an external website. it was used to hide my ip address. i have quit using it and have uninstalled it. but my ip is still being hidden. i dont want this anymore, can i work by cleaning the registry or no. i use mozilla firefox 2.0 and almost every webpage i try to load says "isu blocked url".

HELP PLEASE , i even uninstalled mozilla firefox and all attachments and reinstalled them but still having the same problem.

go into your registary by goin start> run> then type in regedit.

then anything that you see associated with the programme name,, delete it. it shouldnt be there! if that doesnt work dig around your programme files in your c:drive.

also, dont forget to empty your recycle bin!

If you still have the program, try re-installing the proxy hiding program and tell it to stop using proxy's, and uninstall it again... that is if the program has that ability.

If the above items did not work for you, please revise the question with what program "application" you were using for the proxy.
