France:
Paris, especially the Montmartre

Italy:
Rome, Pompeji (by Naples), maybe Capri

Germany:
Berlin, Neuschwanstein, Oppenheim (20 km southern from Mainz, by the Rhine)

In Oppenheim you should not miss the gorgeous St. Catherine's church, the castle's ruins, and the old town center with the beautiful historical houses and the underground tunnels from the middle ages... I live close by, need more information? ask me or check wikipedia.org

Europe is a huge continent and there is alot to see. I would definilitely recommend going to Switzerland. Like the other person said, the Swiss Alps are georgous, and renting a little chalet would be a great expirience.
I also recommend going to Rome and Venice because no trip to Italy would be complete without it.
And also while you are there, make sure to use Europe's many train systems, because that will make transportation between countries and cities hassle free.
In six months, I will be going to France, Spain, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It will be my 3rd trip over there, and I will mostly be staying in Switzerland during those 5 weeks visiting my family.
I hope that you will have a wonderful trip! Enjoy Europe!

When if France, I highly recommend checking out Normandy. I was there last year and it was amazing. Check out the beaches, mainly Omaha, Juno and Sword as well as some of the museums.
Also, when in Paris, do the usual things, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomph, the Louvre, etc. Paris is such a great city and there are many things to see so make sure you take a few days there.
Other than that, I can recommend Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam and Dachau concentration camp (outside of Munich). There are many other places to check out so as stated, get a Rick Steve's book.

I just got back from backpacking through Europe for two months. I would recommend getting a Rick Steve's Guide to Europe book and bringing it with you. We used that everywhere that we went and it was really helpful for finding places to stay, eat and tips on sight seeing. One of my favorite countries was Switzerland seeing the Alps was amazing and something that I will never forget. Paris is of course incredible and not to be missed. I also enjoyed Venice. Enjoy!! It's such a wonderful experience Europe is amazing and the people and food are wonderful.

If you go to london go to a club/bar called Cheers. It is probably one of the most fun ones i went to. In italy go to Florence...theres a club called Space Electronica. It has three floors and honestly probably one of the most amazing clubs i've ever been too. Theres a place in Munich called the hawfra house (im not sure if thats spelled correctly) basically its a place that sells HUGE pitchers of the best quality german beer. you'll see all the waiters wearing traditional clothing.

Most definitely go to Berlin - one of the best cities in Europe in my opinion. Go on one of the free walking tours of the city. The tour guides are amazing. Second on my list is Barcelona!
