I would suggest starting a business that you'd be happy with running, regardless of what people think. But I wouldn't start at all until you have a clearly defined plan first. The problem is that a lot of things on the internet are already semi-monopolized, so it would be hard to get started depending on the item. I would like a place to buy video games (although there already are quite a few) or maybe even certain holiday presents and such. But if all depends on what you like, and your close friends so they can advertise it.

Why buy anything? unless you have a wharehouse, and the money to staff it, than I would leave that to someone-else. there are plenty of full wharehouses in the united states that are chock full, and aren't moveing. From shelf-pulls, to customer returns, these products are just sitting there waiting for some retailer, or resourcefull entrepreneur to place a bid on such items, where they can be placed on E-bay, or sold in a store for a quick profit. Many small, local wholesalers get thier products in just this way. In 1920's th US was introduced to a way of manufactureing called LEAN. It was designed to produce products at a 1 piece flow, this revolutionary concept was rejected in US, but picked up in Japan, due to limites size of the country. After wwII this business concept took strong popular hold, and was constantly revised to suite the individual companies needs. The US has only recently begun to exercise these principles, and it is still only just begun to catch on. Japan, now the world leader in tech. finance, and other principles, is still experienceing the benefits of this principle. I help people start thier own businesses and am willing to mentor anyone interested( info. plans, resources etc.) I hope this helps you out

Tip: I run an internet business, and sex toys are the hottest selling item on the net. Check out http://www.buddyandoscars.com/Careers_Employment.htm for information on getting started. We sell a lot of products on our sites, but sex toys outsell everything else consistently.

Ok, one of the hardest businesses to get involved in, is sales. I work for a company that sells a huge line of products, but you dont have to sell anything, all you have to do is simply refer people to the company. I would be happy to give you lots more information on this company and to help you on your way.
Email me if you are interested.

You need to remember that people who get rich in a gold rush are by and large not gold prospectors, but those who sell mules and supplies to gold prospectors. Online retailing is a lot like gold rush; people who make money on it are not retailers (many of whom don't make it past the first year), but providers of software and infrastructure...
