Personally for search, I get better results from Google. Yahoo has some good points, but then again so does Google. Although I must say that Google Earth has eaten up far too much of my oh so valuable time

depends on what you are using them for. google has a great search tool (with AJAX). Yahoo is good at collecting your information and selling it to other companies for marketing purposes. You weigh the oranges.

Google; especially if you need specified results, look for scientific papers and articles (http://scholar.google.com/) or specific place on Earth :-) (http://earth.google.com/) ; on the other hand yahoo has better additional service - cards, photos,comics news - the Associated Press articles and Garfield comics are just great! :-)

I myself seem to get better results from Yahoo, Google keeps giving me a lot of unassociated sites to my searches.

Yahoo is better because google often says your search is too narrow or says a website ypu knoew exists doesn't.
