i work in construction and weight lift 5 days a week, i have never felt like this before, i wake up and both hands hurt and are numb, my hands are going numb type'n this question!! right now ,,its not getting any better, what do you think it can be?????

Mayba you have a blood circulation problem. To be sure, go to the doctor

You are developing a peripheral vascular disease. There might be a clot or something else restricting the blood. Waking up with numb extremities is the first sign that you are developing some vascular problem. You might also just be sleeping in the wrong position. Your mattress and pillow might just be way too old. You are not getting the right support. Try changing your mattress/get a new one and changing your pillows. If the problem still persists, go see your doctor.

There can be a number of reasons. It could be repetitive strain from weight lifting...eg. keeping your hands in a set position with each lift you do. In which case, give it a rest or use different sized bars.

If things worsen or the above does not improve it, or you get any other symptoms see the doctor.

The only thing I could suggest is that you MAY be vitamin B12 deficent, I get weak hands and fingers with some numbness and that's what's wrong with me, I have to get a shot once a month. Could be worth checking out.
