What's a rough percentage that if I get a BA or BSc in one of the
U of A faculties that I'll be hired within at least 5-6 months of graduation, ... or should I just go to NAIT cause my grades aren't hugely competetive.

Alberta is super short of employees in almost every arc of the rainbow right now. If you can afford to get your degree without going into a huge amount of debt, then it's definately worth it. However, if your immediate finances are holding you back, go for the meat and potatoes programs that NAIT offers. In my experience, graduates from colleges such as NAIT and SAIT actually start out with a higher starting wage than degree holders, but they plateau quickly. A degree is more like a key to advancement.

In summary, I think you can get a good job in almost any sector within 5 or 6 months of graduating from any program. Figure out what you are interested in doing as a career, and then find a way to get educated enough to do it without getting your self way
over your head in debt.

Good luck!

It sort of depends what field you want to go into, specifically. Alberta does need people, but mostly skilled labour. A bachelor's degree won't help there. Oil industry, maybe. NAIT has some very good and practical programs.

There are plenty of opportunities in the red light district that pay very well.
