don't need the code...boycott and they'll stop making what doesn't make money...(how many "religious" films are made or being made now that The Passion made millions?)

Probably not. Especially because you couldn't get all conservatives to boycott all Hollywood films.

I'd suggest that if you are tired of seeing inappropriate things in films that you look more closely at the ratings before you go - all films now not only tell you the rating, but tell you exactly WHY (like sensuality, sexual content, strong sexuality, drug use, action sequences, sequences of terror, language, etc).

Sadly, there just isn't a market for that type of film. There's rarely going to be a film that is PG and still aimed towards adults, you're going to find that all PG rated films are basically animated films.

No you cannot bring back your so called "decency" in film by boycotting because A. There are so many diferent venues for artists to get thier movies out there, a small boycott by some rightwing nutjobs would not affect that.
B. There are not enough rightwing nutjobs who will waste thier life doing this since it is not a profitable venture.
C. There is a thing called Freedom of Speech granted by the First Amendment. The movies are not calling fire in a mall or calling for an armed insurrection so they are protected by the Constitution.

Not a chance. By the way, Hays was a big time hypocrite - look up his history. The media makes what it can sell - if it doesn't sell, it moves on. But again, stop blaming the media for society's woes - its society itself that needs to address its problems - the media only reflects them, and sometimes the media points out problems so that something can be done to address them.

What makes you think Conservatives care about that nonsense?Believe me except for a few sanctimonious meddlers, who by the way, are not conservatives.
None of them do.A true conservative would never be for Government intervention in any private endeavor.

Probably not. Once the cat's out of the bag, there's hell to pay trying to put him back. Might as well suggest that homosexuals go back into the closet for all of the good it would do (no offense intended).

Too bad conservatives can't bring back decency in politics

There aren't enough "conservatives" left to do ANYTHING, I'm astonished that isn't clear to everybody by now! Whose standard of "decency" are you thinking we should abide by? Conservative drug-addict Rush Limbaugh's? Conservative Minister, druggy & john Ted Haggard's? Conservative fraudmeister Jack Abramoff? Grover Norquist? Laura Ingram?(who, ON AIR, urged her listeners to commit felonies by calling the DNC to tie up their phone lines?)

The Democrats did not win back the House & Senate, the Republicans GAVE IT TO THEM!

And, mark my words, they will give them the White House too!

He he!

Try it and see. But remember that boycotts were outlawed during the Nixon administration, bad for business, so call it something else.

No, but only because there aren't really enough right-wing nuts to pull this off.

If there were, sure. The market controls everything!
