No rude answers, please. This is an honest-to-God question.

I'll make this quick and to the point:

How is it possible to become pregnant on the birth control (during placebo week, perhaps) while women wanting to get pregnant usually have to wait at least 3 months to get the hormones out of their system?

Does the birth control pregnancy relate more to those who don't take their pill regularly?

I guess I need to add more detail.

I don't quite understand how women can get pregnant while on the pill, especially after the first month and if taken regularly. There are SO many hormones surging through the body, and for most women it takes months to get those hormones out of your system.

So basically I'm asking how are birth control babies possible where there are so many hormones involved.

No not necessarily. Ive seen women who have fallen pregnant on the pill (and not just the placebo) It depends on every woman's body and her fertility. It also depends on when she had intercourse and if she was ovulating at the time. Ive fallen pregnant while on the pill (not the placebo) and i never missed my pill. I was always on time taking it.

Ive also fallen pregnant off the pill and i had only been off it for around 2 weeks.

Every woman's cycle is different.

EDIT: In answer to the extended question you asked - As the above mentioning woman said the pill is not 100% fool proof. Things such as sickness, dehydration, diarrhea, alcohol and stress can play havoc with the pill. Sometimes when the pill is mixed with other medications - these medications can interfere with pill and make them totally useless. This doesnt happen like that in all cases. But its dependent as well upon the dominant hormones in your body at the time. Regretfully none of us are doctors and cant give you any other type of advice on that one...if nature takes its course and you fall pregnant while on the pill it will just happen.

If you feel so strongly about this why not ask your doctor why these things happen? Or maybe a gynocologist? They can explain the medicine in more detail for you.

Some women are genetically more fertile than others. I am one of them, hence I am on the pill. I had endometriosis surgery in 96 and got my period that day and was ovulating again, while on the pill!! I was on the Depo shot too and they say it takes months to get pregnant, I got my period 3 days after stopping the shot. No pill is 100% so accidents do happen. Just be careful.

Because the female body (in humans) is designed to create life. Yes, man is smart but I don't believe that some pill we created can change the miracle of life.

I was not "supposed" to EVER have kids (according to my doctor who specializes in the female anatomy) but I will deliver a son in just over a month and have had a textbook pregnancy. It just depends on every womans body.
