I agree right know if he keeps going like he is he will be. My vote for all time best is also Sweetness!!! Walter could do so many things alot like LT. He was also alot of fun to watch. I'm not A bears fan but Walter was a class act. Those 2 have alot in common.

Right now, it's still Jim Brown or Walter Payton. But by the end of his career, if he stays healthy, there won't be any doubt that Tomlinson will be the greatest of all time. And as for now, no one in the league even compares, there's not even a close second. Consider this, he's better than Alexander in every career stat and he's been in the league for 1 less year.

It's not fair to say LaDainian Tomlinson is the best RB of all time because his career is not over. LT is clearly the best RB so far and may be one of the best football player right now.

I agree with most the people on this question. He may not yet be the best of all time. But he is the best all-around player in the NFL. 6 years in the league, and the guy only gets better. I will say one thing about him, he is one of the classiest RB's of all time. Does not get all worked up over a big run or score. Huge role model for kids. Heck I wanna be like him myself. GO CHARGERS

Walter Payton is, but Tomlinson could easily be mentioned in the same breath if he keeps this up for another 5-7 years.

Of all time? No.
Right now? Yes.
Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, and Walter Payton in my opinion are the best runningbacks in the history of the sport.

He's the best active running back. Wait for his career to end before deciding if he's the best of all time.

Hmm how about Walter "Sweetness" Payton, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith? Want me to go on? Is he the best in the NFL right now? Well not really, I think Alexander is better as a RB then him. Is he the best all-purpose back in the NFL right now? Yeah. All time though, man you are crazy to say he is the best RB of all time in the NFL.

He is currently the best RB in the NFL, and when he retires, he will be the best ever.
