the lights come on but the gauges don't work. How do I fix this? do I need a new board? where can I find a replacement one? the break lights don't come on when I press the pedal, is this related? where can I get power steering pump brackets and the mechanism for the door handle?

For the guages it might just be a fuse. Check your fuse panel for any circuit labeled "guages" or something similar.

The brake lights could be either blown bulbs (or one blown bulb that has shorted the circuit to the other) or a failed Brake Light Switch. This is located at the top of the brake pedal lever and every time you hit the brake pedal, this is pushed in to turn on the lights. I don't know about Porsche's but on most cars this is very easy to replace with simple tools so long as you can contort your body enough to get at it.
