The Korean War. My South Korean friends think it was successful and are grateful, at least, the older ones.
Don't forget freeing Kuwait. That was pretty successful.
I doubt WW2 would have been successful if it occurred today. Liberals would harp about how the "cost of freedom is too high" and how mounting casualties means we should pull out. When we didn't "win" the war in a year, they would demand we pull out and ask, what did Hitler do to us...
