this is my 3 pregnancy and i have only gained 5 pounds.the problem is that i am 30 weeks along.i was a little overweight to begin with(about 15 lbs) so my doc said she wasnt worried.my question is has anyone else out there had such a small weight gain and had a healthy baby

well I'm hoping so. I lost 12lbs early due to morning sickness. It took me til I was 30 weeks to get back to my prepregnancy weight. I'm now 38 weeks and only 2 lbs over that. I was about 15 or 20 lbs overweight to begin with as well.
My doctor has said everything looks fine though and to not worry.

Yes. My very first pregnancy, I gained a total of 12lbs...6.7lbs was baby, rest was water and placenta. My baby was healthy and very strong. So, no, do not worry about your weight gain, or lack of until your dr says to worry. You will have a healthy baby. Also, remember that over the next few weeks, you will start to gain more weight rapidly since your baby gains on average 1/2 -1lb per week. So, try not to worry now, you're doing great!!!!!! Oh by the way...I was underweight with my first pregnancy...before getting pregnant and after giving birth....So, like I said before, you're doing great!!!!!!! Do not worry yet. Best wishes.

With my 1st pregnancy I was in my target weight range and still was able to put on at most a pound, my body just would not add weight. I delivered a SUPER healthy baby girl @ 36 weeks, she 6 lbs 1oz 19 inches (very normal size for 36 weeks.

I have a friend who only gained 2 lbs. her whole pregnancy. She had a baby girl, that weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. Don't worry, your baby will be fine.

yes im 34 weeks and only gained 13 pounds, i was only 115 to begin with...which my and my doctors were really worried about but i just had an ultrasound at 32 weeks and he was 5 and a half pounds then...and at that point i had only gained 8 pounds...lucky for me he's doing great even big for his age and im exspecting to be walking out of the hospital in my old clothes

My idiot friend is due on the 10th, and she's only gained 3 lbs. If the question is still around when she has the baby, Ill post again!
