Call your doctor Monday morning and ask. In all likelihood, yes, they'll still perform the hysterectomy, which is removal of the uterus. Your uterus is basically doing its normal thing, sloughing off the unused tissue and blood it stored to nourish a developing baby if an egg had been fertilized.
However, I've found that when I'm really upset or stressed, the adrenaline from that keeps my cycle from starting. I'll have cramps or feel queasy, but nothing happens until I'm over the stress.
Your doctor may recommend taking a mild sedative to help you calm down. Even if he doesn't, take deep breaths, close your eyes, and do something to keep yourself mentally busy. Drink some tea. Get some exercise, like swimming or a long walk. Pray. That always helps me.

I don't see why not. I hope they leave your ovaries in...you will be in better health in the long run if so.
The surgery is very common these days...don't worry...and it won't matter either way if you are on your cycle or not. Have a quick recovery!

I'm sure they'll still be able to perform the procedure. I'm sure it happens as women really have no control over when their period comes. Call the hospital to double check.
