make sure that you got the basics, english for reading and writing. take some journalism courses or those that are based on it. next, do internships, you can start now it would be a good idea as to what you want to study when you get in college and get you some connections. Cause you never know your supervisor might know how to get your foot in the door! secondly, be motiveated and dont let anything stop you.

Do well in English. Get on your school paper. In college, get on your school pape and do very well in English. Make sure to try and get an internship at a magazine. Also, try to go to Columbia or NYU - all the major houses love them. Upon graduating, look for editorial assistant positions at ANY magazine. If you can't get an editorial assistant position, look for temping at agencies the magazines use. From there, just go for the promotions.

Just see or read The Devil Wears Prada. You will learn what to do, keep your eye on the price and read every magazine you can and you will live, breathe, sleep and dream fashion. GOOD LUCK.
