means he's on something

It could mean that in order to feel comfortable, he needs to be in control in the sense that he'll get a better idea of what you're thinking, what you're about.

It may sound like he's a deep, romantic, sensitive man, but I think in order to maintain a healthy, growing relationship, the parties concerned need to keep a little mystery going. To keep each other on their toes, so to speak.

When I re-read his words from an outsider's objective view point, my advice is ... run!!!

The words that come to mind are: insecure, brooding, controlling, jealous, suspicious, which could well lead to violence.

Of course, I could be totally wrong and he's your ideal guy ... but I really don't know about that. Love should be enough. Your soul is not for him.

Only time will tell, if you decide to take the risk. In the meantime, do not let him take you over. You'll need all your strength to get rid of him, should he decide to stalk you. Sorry.

for starters babe you don't need to become one with anyone. This man sounds way to deep and could well have weired control freak motives. Love is enough and if he thinks it isn't let him go find this oneness with someone else you should just want a simple life as life is complicated enough without adding unnecessary complications like him. If he can not love you enough as an individual then you will not be able to give him what he wants so don't keep trying, leave now and find someone you can have a laugh with and love will follow and believe me when love comes it will be all you can handle

Well this has different interpretations:
Maybe he like to control the person who he love, he is super jealous, and he will be jealous about you from the wind that touches you.
Or,
Maybe he has some lack of confidence in his life and he needs someone to control, and he sees that the shortest and easiest way to do this is controlling you.
Or,
He wants things other than love, maybe an affair or something of this sort.
Or,
Maybe he is saying this as a step to control your whole life, as what type of work he prefer, your salary be for him(maybe), where you go and when, who he wish you to talk to...etc.
It is really hard to tell unless you tell us more about the personality of this person.
I wish I gave you the best answer.....

Its like when two people are like two pieces of a broken plate, which, when placed together, becomes whole.

That kind of fit doesn't happen over night. It takes time for a person to learn about the other one, to understand them like you understanding yourself. To be able to read their thoughts and feel their feelings.

If you already love each other, then all it needs is just time. Spend it talking, discovering about each other, and you will become one.

It means he's dangerous. A true relationship involves mutual respect and that means letting the other person be independent within the relationship.

That's not what he wants.

I recommend you leave him right now.

(And, Burton, I'm a scientologist, we don't do that.)
