Basically if you are doing any kind of trading, you need license. and licences depends on what you are selling and where. Like in UK you might have to calculate VAT on many of your products, even if you are selling online.
another thing most countries ask you to register before you do any kind of international business. You can ask any CA about this... this is not lengthy process, can be done in less than a week
