Why are we classed as racist if we speak in suport of our culture.
England is a christian country, yet we are not allowed to openly expess our faith.
I do not understand why being multi cultured means we have to respect other religions whilst they have no respect for ours.
Is it time for English people to stand up and be heard?.
England has a culture lets repect it, be proud to be English.
Come on mr Cameron forget hug a hoody, flying the green flag, go back to basics suoprt the british public.

I completely understand what you're saying, I feel passionate about being English. We have such an incredible heritage, however silly stereotypes of our barbarianism and hooliganism abroad give us a bad impression for being ignorant. Im sick and tired of being so insanely PC about religion, we can't even have CHRISTMAS LIGHTS it's WINTER LIGHTS and slowly our traditions are being robbed from us and theres nothing we can do. Immigrants who I have met through uni actually embrace our culture because they chose to come live here, they do not want our traditions changing for them because they respect us as a nation. What would happen if we went to everyone elses country - we would not be given such priority would we? I feel like the minority in my own capital city. Surely this isn't right? Why isn't the Government looking after it's people? They're just like a bank, just interested in getting new custom and economically expanding and not caring about it's long standing community and values. Where's the community spirit gone? I went back to my small country home town from uni in the summer and discovered that we have a new thriving 10% population of Polish (no personal offense to the Polish). We're like guinea pigs being put under social scenarios. I feel your frustration. I love my country and wish the Gov would be proud of our heritage too and expand without neglecting it.

Nothing wrong with patriotism as long as it doesn't lead to civil war, riots, -peace on earth and all that.
We all inhabit the earth so let's put aside our differences and enjoy eachother's company, cultures should retain their identity and yet we can learn from eachother, that's what makes us human - we are all different and yet often so similar.
I have a really good friend who is from india yet lives here, also a friend from Venezuela.
At the same time a bit of national pride is nice providing it doesn't lead to violence.
Yes it is a little one-sided because we have opened our doors to practically everyone whereas other nations have been quite closed, but everyone wants to come here so we must be doing something right. Dan

There is nothing at all wrong with being proud to be English - but unfortunately alot of racist ****wits jumped on the bandwaggon back in the day and spoilt it all. Unfortunately when people around the world think of the English they think of dodgy stereotypes. The sooner the English can rid themselves of that unhealthy reputation the better for everyone

I don't agree with the whole christian bit, as Britain was populated by PAGANS and conquered by more Pagans (the Celts and Romans)! I happen to like most Brits, but as some guy said in the film "Trainspotting" (about Scotland...and I paraphrase): "We're the lowest! We're shite! We got conquered. And we were conquered by poofters, who're shite, so that makes us nothing!".
What's his point? If you put yourself above others, there will ALWAYS be someone (usually the Yanks) who will try, at least, to put themselves above YOU!
Relax... most Americans LOVE the Brits! And the don't love too many other countries. Hmm...I guess that COULD be seen as a bad thing....?

Constitutionally Great Britain is a Christian country and I am sick and tired of the politically correct anally retentive bleeding heart lefties trying to make me feel guilty for being proud of my country. I love England and am proud to be English and everything that stands for.

I completely agree but would call us British, we are a Cristian country and although we welcome other religions into Britain, the country should remain Cristian and those entering should respect that as we should respect them.
All this stuff where we should not even say happy Christmas, and say happy holidays instead just infuriates me. whether or not Britain's practise a religion, they should be able to acknowledge their roots and the history of the country without it losing its identity,
come on Brits lets all be proud together!

There is nothing wrong with being English, but as it is an accident of birth, it is not something to be proud about.
England is a country of many religions, agnostics, and atheists, we can all be proud of our achievements
