What would you do if you found out that a very good friend of yours was a recently convicted sex offender?

My next door neighbor and "friend", I found out yesterday, was convicted of molesting a 12 year old boy and is suspected in molesting another youngster. I live in a neighborhood that has a lot of small children. I want to alert the neighborhood about my neighbor, but I am afraid that he might find out that I was the one that told about him and what he might do to retailate against me, my family or my home and outdoor animals, but at the same time, I don't want any more children hurt. Any suggestions?

I know the neighborhood, and talk if the story is good, and the tales grow taller on down the line.

If its true it would be easy to find out conclusively, and as stated about he had to notify the neighborhood when he moved in. If he's not, telling everyone that he was would be something he could not possibly come back from..

Everyone should have got a letter in the mail when he moved it. He has to register. Thats when the letter would go out. This information is public and if others want to check the registry to see how safe the souroundings are for their child then thats there responsibility. Call your police station and find out why you didn't get a letter. Maybe he will get in trouble for registering and he wont think it was you. Thaigs catch up with people. Just keep your family safe..

You should be more worried about the children than your animals.Tell the whole freaking town that he's a monster who prays on the innocence of children.Have your husband go over and have a eye opening talk with your neighbor. He should convey the message that he is seen interacting with any child,he's gonna get retaliated against.And if he even thinks about retaliating back,he's gonna get beat down. If it was a real close neighbor friend of mine,he wouldn't be my neighbor for too long,he wouldn't be walking on this earth for too long.If I didn't get him first,my husband surely would.

Check the national registry to see if he has registered, and then just find a way to annonymously tell your neighbors that "Oh, look at what I found on this website". My grandparent's neighbors did that when they found out a sex offender had just moved in to their block.

I would turn my brother in if I found out he did that. These maggots never serve enough time, and almost always repeat. As for wether he will retaliate, that's an individual thing, and I would hope he wouldn't but you'd be crazy to trust him.

When I found out the guy down the street was a pedo I printed the page off the internet with his picture and info of what he had done and I put it in every mail box on every car and taped it to every light post late one night. Everyone found out and nobody knew it was me. He was eventually driven out of our neighborhood.

ask the police to do it for you. or send neighbors an annonomous letter. all convicted sex offenders need to be registered
