Homo sapiens. The earliest confirmed date of human habitation in the New World is about 13,000 years ago in S. America. The last hominid besides H. sapiens, the Neanderthals, died out about 30,000 years ago and didn't live outside of Europe/Eurasia. H. erectus died out far earlier than this.

Humans. Homo erectus and Neanderthals never got out of the old world, although they could be found in Europe, Asia, and, of course, Africa.
