i got that wrong!
this is i5 i was in a rush before!
To answer this question first you must work out how many metres are in a mile. I assume that you have to use the information given in the question to do this.
There are several ways of doing this - here is one of them. First work out how many inches in a mile. You would do this by multiplying 1760 x 36.
Then multiply this answer by 2.54. This will give you the number of centimetres in 1 mile.
Then, if you divide this answer by 100 (because there are 100 cm. in a metre),you will get the number of metres in 1 mile.
This answer then has to be divided by 33 1/3 to get the number of lengths.
Good luck.

In simple terms,
8 Kilometer ~ 5 Miles
1 Kilometer = 1000 meter
Hence,
8000 meters = 5 Miles
1 Meter = 5/8000 Miles
Hence, 1 Meter ~ 1/1600 Miles.
Hope that helps.

1 kilometre = 1000 metres
1 kilometer = 0.621 miles
1 mile = 1.609 kilometres
1.609 / 1000 = 0.001609
therfore 1 metre = 0.001609 miles
and 1 mile = 1609 metres

A miter is a little over 3 feet.
A thousand miters is a kilometer.
A mile is loosely 6000 feet.
If you run a kilometer, you've ran about 6 tenths of a mile, which is more than half a mile.
So if you hold up ten fingers representing ten kilometers, then 6 fingers represents 6 miles (again, this is a quick approximation).

Let's start.
We all know 1 Mile (M) = 1.6 Kilometre (K)
This means every Mile multiply by 1.6 will give you answer in Kilometre.
So, the basic and tricky question is how 1 Kilometre is equal to in Mile?
Let's do this by using Algebra, (it's very simple, believe me!):
1) 1.6K = 1M (1.6 Kilometre equal 1 Mile)
1K = 1M/1.6 (1 Mile divide by 1.6 Kilometre)
1K = 0.625 M (1 Kilometre should be equal to 0.625 Mile)
Let's do the everyday life question: "From Buffalo N.Y. to Chicago, Illinois is 524 Miles. What this mean in term of Kilometre?"
2) 524 Miles time 1.6 Kilometre = 838.4 Kilometres
Let's reverse the same above question: "From Buffalo N.Y. to Chicago, Illinois is 838 Kilometres. What this mean in term of Miles?" (Remember the magic number 0.625 Mile in 1) above?)
3) 838 Kilometre time 0.625 = 523.75 Miles (rounded 524 Miles)
I hope this will answer to your question. Try with different cities distance to see if my method is working for you. Good luck!

Use Google. If you want, say, 2660 metres in miles enter -
2660 metres IN miles
The answer pops up.
