i was wondering about this because i would like to get sims 2 pets but my firend uses her business one on her regular sims 2. do you need the original, or is the game the same just with pets?

Yes, the Sims 2: Pets is just an expansion pack, just like Open for Business, Night Life and University. You still need the original CD or DVD to play it. In my humble half-****** opinion, it is worth the money.

Yes you need the sims 2 game to play sims 2 pets on computer, as it is an expansion pack.

If you want sims 2 pets on playstation 2, xbox or gamecube then you only need Sims 2 pets.

You need The Sims 2 first, it's just a disk that adds pets to the game.

You DO need the original. The Sims 2 Pets is just an add-on to the game, not an actual game in itself. So you do need the original. ^^ Pets adds extra features and items to the base TS2 game.

yes, you have to have sims 2 installed before you can install any expansion packs, the original retails for around $45

No you dont.Me and my friends didnt even play sims 2 when we started the pet sims.I WOULD HIGHLY reccomend it.
