I’m trying to find out what people are more interested in, current events or celebrity news .. and why?

3- what would you rather read : Times magazine or People ?
What TV channel do you prefer : CNN or MTV

Kabul, 2, Time,I don't watch TV news.
I try to be culturally literate (that includes pop culture as well) as well as informed about the news. I became such a news junkie a few years ago and was spending so much time reading newspapers,magazines, blogs and the interenet I became consumed. I had to start discerning between what was going to make difference to my family and my community and what was just 'filler'. It was tough to make the distinction in a world that is getting smaller.

Sadly I am more interested in Celebrity news, but maybe because it takes me away from reality, our current events are very depressing. Although I try to stay informed, I believe it is substantially more important to be up to date with world affairs than celeb affairs.

Current events are like make-belief stories to entertain us. So it's pretty close but in the end Bradgelina wins.
