It really depends on who the 14 and 18 y/o's are, but in general, that might be a strange relationship. If it's 22 and 26 (same four year difference) it would be alright.
Some people say that since it's illegal, it's wrong, but I'm of the mind that just because a group of legislators call it wrong doesn't mean it is. Lots of cultures in the world would not call that wrong. If they say it's wrong because it's illegal, they're sheep who can't really think for themselves.
A while ago, there was a case in the news of an 18 y/o going to jail because his gf was 17. Illegal? Yes. Wrong? Hell no! Just shows you that laws can be flawed.

It really depends on the youngest person's age. A 20 & a 24 year old - 4 year age gap. No one batts an eye. A 15 and an 11 year old - 4 year age gap. Eww.
The 14 year old, male or female, is not considered a legal adult by society. If there is any sexual activity going on, the 18 yr. old can be jailed for child endangement, molestation or even rape, even if it was agreed upon by both parties.

I would jsut be wondering why an 18 year old boy would want to be with a 14 year old girl. To me there is too much of an age gap for their ages. He is probally thinking about different things then she is, and to me that would make me worried about why he is really trying to get with a 14 year old. Besides the point he is an adult, and she is still by far a minor.

Legally, yes. The 18 year old can get into a lot of trouble. I don't see anything wrong with an age gap in general, but 14 is too young.

A four year age gap in adolescence is too much. The older you get, the less it matters, but if a guy who's 18 wants to be with a fourteen-year old, I can damn-near guarantee you that he only wants one thing. Most 18-year olds want to be with someone who's their age if they want to get serious.
Also, though, that age gap at those ages you listed can get the 18-year old in a lot of trouble if the 14-year old's parents find out that they're sleeping together. He can end up in jail.
At fourteen, you need to be dating other fourteen year olds, fifteen at the MOST. An eighteen year old will drag you into a world that you're not ready to be in yet. I can promise you that much.

As a dad of a 14 year old, they are not properly able to have a relationship, it is still play. An 18 year old can, so I would have to say no.
4 years is not that important as you get older, a 22 and 18 yo for example. My wife is 5 years older than me.

It's illegal if they are sexually active. A difference of 4 years is not bad, but there is a world of growing between age 14 and 18. If they love each other, they would wait until the 14 yr old grew up.

Four years is a much bigger deal at 14 than at 22. I have friends who are married and are over 7 years apart--and doing just fine. The problem is more the percentage difference.

That's too much of a difference. The emotional and physical differences are great between those ages. I honestly don't think a 14 year old should have a boyfriend/girlfriend. Wait until you're 16!
