Good Question! I think Tyra does show some concern in today's society, but I would compare her to Oprah, lol! Yeah, I agree about finding it hard to have self esteem from a model, and she is beautiful. I think her gat suit episode was not very helpful, because she can take it off, but some people who have issues with their weight, it's hard. And with looks, the best thing is to just love yourself, and if not, really noone can help you do it. I think people who have issues with their overall appearance have those insecurities because of what others think of them. For those people, get some true friends, wait for the right guy, and know who you are!

Don't get too upset with Tyra Banks on this one. And comparing her to Doctor Phil is a no win situation. The only reason why Tyra Banks even has a show is because there were some Hollywood TV Producers who thought that there was an audience out there for her. And they were right. The audience is girls aged 13 to 35. This audience is not that big but it is enough to keep Tyra in business and on TV. That is why Tyra tries to be like "Dr. Phil." She's just giving advice to that specific target audience. Certainly, this show is not for everybody. In this situation, Tyra satisfies a demographic that wants to watch and she does what she can to keep the demographic watching to increase the financial revenue for herself and the Hollywood companies that created the show. Welcome to the business of television.

i don't think she is trying to be like dr.phil. i think she is trying to be her.its easy to criticize someone new doing a talk show. and to be honest i think tyra still has self esteem issues. personally i think the show is hilarious...i mean she is obviously a product of the modeling industry, i find it hard to watch her deal with "serious" issue bc i don't believe she has enough "real life" experience. she has been pretty sheltered in the life that she has lived.

LOL! I completely agree with U. I think she just has her show because her advisers told her she needs another career since she's getting too old to be a model on the runway like she used too. I think she's a complete phony who just wants to still be seen in the media so she has her own talk show. I don't believe she cares or understands her viewers. How could she? She was a rich model most of her life! All these celebs ethier have their own talk show or reality show.

I love Tyra her shows are great and she's not trying to act like she's an expert but she just gives her point of view. Dr. Phill is mean but I guess his advice works.

Because she thinks that she knows everything now that she has done so much in the entertainment world. I know she is aspiring to be the next Oprah Winfrey. Good Luck ;)

It's a ratings ploy to get people to see her show. More viewers, more money.
