I am on coumadin so I cannot take most pain killers, the only thing I can take is Tylonol but that does not help. I cannot be on birth control either becuase I was unfortunate and got a blood clot. So please help any suggestions would be great.

Keep track of your period so you know that day it will start. Then begin to take your Tylenol 2-3 days before it starts so it will already be in your system when the pain starts and you dont have to wait for it to kick in. (tip from my dr.)

Being that you can't take any pain meds...try hot water bottles on the lower abdomin..right above the pubic hair...or a heating pad...I find the more active I am the less cramps I have...One thing that has helped immensely is going to a chiropractor...sounds starnge but if you find the right doctor...he/she might be able to help.

Some options are:
1. Tylenol 3 (with codeine) if you're OK with taking meds and Midol isn't cutting it
2. Heating pad
3. Hot bath
4. Lay on your back with your feel elevated

A nice hot soak bath works wonders. Also try using a heating pad to the area.

Alleve works wonders, check with your doctor first. If you aren't able to use Alleve, try a heating pad and some hot tea, they always work for me.

try evening primrose oil tablets.... they are fantastic..
