The other posters are right. The book is Flowers for Algernon, and Charley is the movie version of that book.

Sounds like the movie "Charley". Maybe the book had the same name. The movie was from the late 1960s I believe.

I think (and ignore my spelling issues) "Flowers for Algeroun" I read it last year in school for English.
