This is in the third quadrant, so it is positive.

Next, subtract 180 from it to get 30.

tan (210) = tan (30)

Tan 210 Degrees

without using a calculator:
210 degrees is in the third quadrant (beneath the x axis and to the left of the y axis)
210 is 30 degrees away from the x axis
tan (30) = 1/(squareroot of 3) this should be memorized
all tangeant values in the third quadrant are positive
therefor tan (210) = 1/(squareroot of 3)

Here's a nifty trick to memorizing all of the quadrant signs:
All (sin +, cos +, tan +) Quadrant 1
S tudents (sin +, cos -, tan -) Quadrant 2
T ake (sin -, cos -, tan +) Quadrant 3
C alcukus ( sin -, cos +, tan -) Quadrant 4
