We all go through Christmases like that. It is really dependent upon what our life has faced in the previous months or it can be serious depression. But, rest assure, there that spark of Holiday spirit will glow again, maybe not this year, but eventually it will return. Just be patient and give it some time. You might try volunteering at a h omeless shelter or the hospital and see if giving helps you feel good. Best of luck and remember, Christmas begins in our hearts.

You're right- it hasn't had the same hype this year so far -thank goodness! Things will change again for the better this week right after the full moon, and already there have been moments that have clear taken my breath away with one thing following hard on the heels of another. All good.
Don't think you'll have any time for long lazy baths, get those lists out and writing the cards already!

No it's not you.I was having this discussion with my husband over the weekend, and we both agreed it doesn't feel christmasy, and i think it's because everything is out so early nowadays,we just get over one celebration, when we've another shoved in our faces.
Every where you look,it's christmas,christmas,christmas.
I wish it could go back to the days when christmas was IN december.
There were very few adverts on t.v.for christmas, toys weren't advitised until the beginning of december, and the sales actually started on new years day.
That was when christmas actually meant something, rather than how much am i going to spend,or what gifts am i going to get.

I think the reason it os so difficult to get into the spirit of christmas is because it is splashed all over the shops from October!!!!
By the time Chrismas is actually near, you have had enough of it, the carols are doing your head in, you are fed up with people asking if you have finished all your christmas shopping (when its barely even November) because they have!!!!
Far too commercialised these days

Do you live alone, not have any family, with children, friends with children after all Christmas is about the children. Or at lest one Child Baby Jesus. It's about his day anyway so feel the Joy of Christ in your life. What he has done for you, Don't say he hasn't done anything. you woke up today that's the start of what today has brought you .

It's the norm that the older you get the less you look forward to Christmas. Take it in your stride and live it for the little children.
