i saw in a movie online of an F1 engine on a dyno and the manifolds were glowing orange from the 800degree F of exhaust and when the throttle was suddenly dropped off, a little bit of flames came out the exhaust tips. ive seen this same effect on most racing video games also.

can i tune my car to get this effect? what upgrades will be neccessary for it? also, how can i increase my engine RPMs? if my limiter is set at 6kRPMs, how can i increase it to 7000 without any damage?

im only 17 and dont have a car yet, but plan to buy an older 4cyl and trick it out. are there general tuning parameters for getting the afterburn?

any tips will be appreciated

That "after burn" is the result of a sudden burst of unburned fuel actually making it through the engine and into the exhaust without being burned, but igniting when the fuel comes into contact with the oxygen in the air beyond the exhaust pipe(s).
Nearly ALL cars now on the road are fuel injected, and part of the electronic programming turns the injectors OFF during HARD deceleration. There is no need to introduce fuel into an engine that is not going to use the fuel. (silly concerns about emissions and fuel economy you know).
You can buy programmers or modified chips to either eliminate or modify the REV limiter, but why? The engine will only operate SAFELY at the RPM the manufacturer designed it for.
If you desire greater engine speed, then MAJOR engine mods will be necessary (e.g. blue-printing, balancing, high performance parts etc).

Got a great idea: How about learning to drive at a reasonable speed and power level at least until you have a real good idea of what OTHER people are going to do on the road.
YOU may very well be one of the greatest drivers on the road, and have lightning reflexes, and a car that can do nearly anything but cook your breakfast, but the OTHER people are not that good, and can't read your mind, and will not be able to anticipate your next move. Then you will get to know them (by accident).

Good Luck and Merry Christmas

That kind of thing doesn't exactly work well on fuel injected cars. Anyway sounds like your car wont run long the way you want to drive it.
