Liverpool fan here...I think Celtic will have a tough time regardless of whether they finish 1st or 2nd. As it stands (1 day before Matchday 6), I think Celtic will have an equally tough time facing the current 1st seeds and current 2nd seeds, so I think they will want the advantage of playing at home for the 2nd leg. In addition, if Celtic can claim first in their group, they would stand a chance of facing PSV or Lille/AEK Athens, whom I believe would be the weakest 2nd seeds.
If Celtic don't win their group, they could potentially face some heavy hitters including Chelsea (assuming Chelsea don't lose at home to Levski Sofia), Liverpool, Lyon, and AC Milan.
So yeah, Celtic stand a slightly better chance of progressing pass the round of 16 by finishing top of their group: if they do so, they give themselves a chance of drawing PSV or Lille/AEK Athens, and with the 2nd leg at home, it'd be possible to reach the last 8.

Liverpool fan right here...i think of of Celtic could have a no longer ordinary time regardless of no bear in mind if or now no longer they end 1st or 2d. as a results of fact it stands (a million day in the past Matchday 6), i think of of Celtic could have an the two no longer ordinary time coping with the present 1st seeds and present day-day 2d seeds, so i think of of they are going to choose the extraordinary element approximately engaging in at domicile for the 2d leg. besides, if Celtic can declare first of their group, they could stand a gamble of coping with PSV or Lille/AEK Athens, whom i've got have been given faith may be the weakest 2d seeds. If Celtic do now no longer win their group, they could probable face some heavy hitters which incorporate Chelsea (assuming Chelsea do now no longer lose at domicile to Levski Sofia), Liverpool, Lyon, and AC Milan. So yeah, Celtic stand an somewhat extra desirable perfect threat of progressing bypass the around of sixteen by using ending perfect of their group: in the event that they achieve this, they grant themselves a gamble of drawing PSV or Lille/AEK Athens, and with the 2d leg at domicile, it may be obtainable to realize the perfect 8.

They will get smacked! Scottish football went in the toilet years ago. How many Scottish players are in the team? One? Two? They have to import European players to get anywhere in the EUFA cup.Kids don't play football in Scotland anymore, too busy exercising their thumbs with video games.
