I recently met this girl at a party and being in the party mood i introduced myself but since then she claims to be all sorts of things from being in love with me (i am not a lesbian), to being spiritually in tune with me, to being the best thing that ever happened to her. I have tried all sorts of things i just cant seem to get rid of her. she is always offering something or has a problem or something or the other. i am just not enjoying her attention. any suggestions?

If she calls you, is there any way you can screen her calls? Also, what you might do is the next time she wants/needs to talk to you, make some excuse why you can't. You could also avoid going to the same places she does. Have you tried just telling her to leave you alone?

Just be blunt with her. I know it may be painful, but with some people being blunt is the only way to get rid of them. It doesn't mean be deliberately hurtful or nasty. Just tell her you don't really think you've got anything in common and the attention is a bit over the top!

It's hard, but the only thing I can think of is to tell her that you don't think you are compatible friends. You may have to even be mean.

The lady sounds like she may need pills of some kind, like lithium? Wow.

You don't make clear HOW she's showering you with attention, but you don't owe your time and attention to anyone who asks for it.

By "HOW" I mean does she call you? Don't talk to her -- if you can't screen your calls, tell her you can't talk now and hang up. If you run into her, say you can't talk and walk away.

Like I said, I can't tell how you are now seeing her. But if you can't avoid her, be cold toward her, and don't encourage her, and eventuallly she'll give up.

It's going to be hard-but you are just going to have to be blunt with her. Tell her that you don't appreciate the claims she has made, you are not interested in her in any way-and you will not be her friend.

set her down and be firm. tell her that you don't really feel comfortable with the way she is acting and that you don't want to be around her. don't return her phone calls and she'll go away eventually. if she doesn't, be mean. it'll work in the end.

Don't let them be close friends. I always say "I have too many friends already" that always seem to work.
