Christmas Is a Time for Love and Fun

Christmas is a time for love and fun,
A time to reshape souls and roots and skies,
A time to give your heart to everyone
Freely, like a rich and lavish sun,
Like a burning star to those whose lonely sighs
Show need of such a time for love and fun.

For children first, whose pain is never done,
Whose bright white fire of anguish never dies,
It's time to give your heart to every one,

That not one angel fall, to hatred won
For lack of ears to listen to her cries,
Or arms to carry him towards love and fun,

Or friends to care what happens on the run
To adult life, where joy or sadness lies.
It's time to give your heart to everyone,

For God loves all, and turns His back on none,
Good or twisted, ignorant or wise.
Christmas is a time for love and fun,
A time to give your heart to everyone.

OR

It's That Time Of Year

It's that time of year,
when your so dynamic.
That joyous holiday season has come

It's never a fallible time, this season.
All children radiant with fun,
Everyone happy and laughing.

People indulging in the love of the season.
The special day looming around the corner.
It's everyone's favorite time of year.

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Ode to Christmas

If you see a fat man...
Who's jolly and cute,

wearing a beard
and a red flannel suit,

and if he is chuckling
and laughing away,
while flying around
in a miniature sleigh
with eight tiny reindeer
to pull him along,

then let's face it...

Your eggnog's too strong!

'Twas The Month After Christmas

'Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste
At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,

The wine and the rum balls,
The bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never say,
"No thank you, please."

As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt.
I said to myself, as I only can
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"

So--away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.

I won't have a cookie--not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.

I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore,
But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

The Christmas Thing

My grandmother sat
On Christmas morning
Mending overalls.
A tall tree glittered,
A hen was roasting,
And the room was merry
With dolls and balls,
So why was she mending
Overalls?
The air is magic
On Christmas morning
And it isn't a time
For doing chores.
We had given her
A brooch that glittered
After anxious searchings
Of ten cent stores
So why was she working
At everyday chores?
I didn't know then
But I learned much later
That Christmas magic
Goes through and through
The fabric of living
Love, threading her needle,
Made mending
The Christmas-thing to do.

hi, Gamespot could prefer to have the Wii this weekend (12/17/2007) and that they are offering rain checks in the event that they run out. placed the rain be particular below the Christmas tree and tell him Santa might desire to now not get one suited now. assure him that he gets one quickly whether. diverse shops could prefer to be getting them this weekend additionally. Circuit city and Toys R Us furnish tickets out 2-3 hours previously they open. you will possibly be able to come cut back back and get it as quickly as they open in case you have a cost cost ticket. Walmart does get them after 1pm on weekdays, yet they generally get in simple terms one million to 3 of them. retailers (purpose is one among them) even have Wii giftcards. i'm uncertain in the event that they are enormously for the Wii, yet on an identical time as he thinks that is in simple terms to purchase the Wii it may help. choose this facilitates. -R
