I am starting a personal business selling my crafts. And I was thinking about getting a paypal account to use for my customers to pay me. Can you tell me about this site so when I try to set it up I wont be completly confused. And if you know of a better site please tell me about it.

I would not make PayPal your only choice, but it is a start. Just visit PayPal.com and get started. But remember, PayPal is NOT a bank. They are just a money conduit.

As your business grows, you will start to use other payment options, like a real credit card payment system.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

As an online seller, I love Paypal! It makes it so easy and convenient to buy and sell on line. There are two types of accounts; one is free and the other charges a fee per transaction. I know free sounds good, but you are limited to only accepting non-credit card payments (the person has cash in their Paypal account and is using that, rather than linking to their credit card). It's much more effective to pay the fee and be able to accept all payments--and so much less confusing to your customers. Anyway, set up an account by following their step by step instructions. You will need to give them your bank account number, and they will post a small deposit there for you to. You find out the amount from your bank, and then post the amount to paypal to verify that it's really you. There are so many features to Paypal it's hard to know where to start. You can then transfer the money people pay you to your own account, or use it like a debit card, or have a check sent to you. You can use it to pay for online shipping to ship out whatever you are selling just with a few clicks in your account.
I've been using Paypal for about 7 years or so, and have never had a problem with it and I use it almost every day, usually selling something but for online purchases I make, also. I highly recommend it!

Just set up an account with paypal, I can't imagine you being confused. It is a very user friendly site that is alway pretty clear about things.

Moreover, Paypal is a pretty good pick for the thing you have in mind. It's service is widely trusted and people can pay through paypal without having a paypal account themselves.

I can give you a link that deals with Payapl & Ebay transactions through Paypal. PayPal is one of the most popular online money transfer systems widely used for online auctions, pay to surf programs, e-books and purchase of low value goods. It is now a part of the online auction website eBay. More details available at
