I have first hand knowledge of nerve damage. In April, 2006, I had the Ulnar Nerve moved because it was causing pain and numbness in my 2 small fingers. I developed RSD which is a permanent condition.
A Pain Management Doctor gave me 3 pain blocks in my neck and 3 steroid injections in my neck for the pain in my arm.
Final outcome is I am left with permanent nerve damage. I use ice sometimes (about 10 min) That helps better than heat for me.
Hope this helps you.
There are lots of sites on the Internet to read about nerve damage.
I hope yours is not permanent.
Good luck and God Bless You.
