If he's gay, the answer's going to be no, and you might embarrass him or ruin your friendship.
More importantly, he's already with someone. Would you hit on a guy that was going out with another girl?
It's a shame that you have feelings for someone who's not available, and you can't help feeling that way, but it's one of the things we all have to learn to live with.
