Oh, we do more for them than just fight wars. That post about how poor and middle class people prop up the wealthy is totally true.
Like, take banking. Banks use your money however they wish and invest in stuff, fund whomever...they do as they please until you ask for their money. Ever wonder why they only let you withdraw a certain amount per day? It's because they only keep a certain amount in reserve--that is, they only keep a little cash in case somebody wants it, and they play with the rest.
But if you borrow money from that same bank, you have to pay them for the privilege. They give you crap interest if you save money in, like, a CD (4 or 5 percent, big whoop), but YOU have to pay them for a loan which you wind up paying back anyway! And if you don't pay them back, they get to take whatever you put down as collateral, and they make plenty off the transaction.
Total scam. If you already have money, it's easy to make more. If you don't have money...fuhgeddaboutit. You're gonna stay poor.

I'd partly agree some rich people don't care if anyone exists. However I would not say that all rich people want poorer classes to go to war for them.
In fact I think you'll find a lot of the Governmental people who make decisions over whether to go to war or not are not what you would class as "rich".

i hate to say it, but i do think its true about most of them. they don't want to change anything about themselves. They say" hey send the less unfortunate to fight our battles, they are suffering anyway." u know i work for some rich people and they can care less am there or what i do for them. the other day my friend was mowing the grass on a right away ( very rich development) and this homeowner hits her and say to her" you was in my way and she drives off" and they did nothing to her because it was on private property. why don't we ever get a break?

It depends upon the rich person.
Most rich people these days depend upon the rest of us for their wealth. Think film stars, musicians, sports people. If nobody was interested in them, they'd quite quickly stop being rich.
However, if you were to substitute "rich people" with "the ruling elite" then I reckon you're absolutely spot on.
Cheers.

mmm who needs rich people? just imagine that every rich person in this country stopped doing what they do what would happen? NOTHING!
But if every minimum wage worker in this country stopped working the whole country would be bought to a stand still! nothing would get done the rich think they are powerful when in fact they are at their weakest!

perhaps in many cases this is true but there are many rich people who care about the average or poor. there are always good and bad in every group because every group is made up of individual people.

Rich people need poor people in order to stay rich. It is the poor and middle-class that are working for the rich. WIthout these employees, the upper class would collapse.

i agree with that, the wealthy generally only care about one ultimate thing.... what does it take to make me look good in the eyes of my peers..and of course.. the acquisition of more wealth.
HOWEVER!!! the wealthy are not precluded from war..
Elvis Presley was drafted into the army while he was in the middle of one of his most important record deals.
Mohammad Ali was ordered into the military but refused claiming (ironically) that violence was against his religion.
I only named 2, the two most popular examples that i think everyone would recognize.
politically though i have to say war only affects politicians in one way, it makes them rich.

what a ridiculous overgeneralization. you're trying to say that all rich people don't care about those who don't have money? you can't lump all people of one socioeconomic status into a category just like you can't say something is true of everyone of a particular race.
