and the opposite of hate is also indifference.
to me love and hate are just different extremes of the same thing

Both love and hate have an element of passion whereas indifference obviously lacks it, therefore the latter could be a true antonym to both feelings.

Exactly. Love and Hate are one and the same. They are seen as different things yet they both revolve around extremely strong feelings toward different things. Indifference is not caring, not having any feeling toward anything. Just existing.

LOVE is the synthesis (balance) of Infatuation and Hate. Love is seeing both sides of a person or issue and recognizing that positive and negative are in balance.
The opposite of Hate is Infatuation. Therefore, hate cannot be the opposite of love. Love is balanced perception - unconditionally accepting the positives and negatives.

Non trust and You can not feel or do or act in this world without{{{{{{trust,,,If I hire you I must trust you will show up and vice versa etc etc ,,,So It is a feeling of the moment and insecure feelings Love and Hate is still a cause and affect of one"s attitude at that moment....

Hate could be indifference, the thing to think about though, is that hate is also indifferent to itself.

The opposite of emotion is apathy (or indifference).
