I can't remember the name of the thing but was a sort of controlled truck, you had a simple calculator type interface on the top of it and it could be told to move forwards so many feet turn and move again, there was a light that could flash and make noises, top sheet when I was a kid.It had 3 wheels either side, but 2 of which where only for show, think the name was "Monster Truck" or something like that White with black wheels!

Mum & Dad tried hard to give 3 of us a good christmas and made it special everytime with not a lot of money, my favourite present was a fort and the cowboys & indians to go with it ! But the bestest present ever was my mum and dad wish they were still here now!
If you've got them still love them i wish i could have the chance!

My sister and i were brought up by our grand-parents and the one xmas present we both got every year was a new dressing gown and in the pocket of each was a new TIMEX Watch . It became something of a tradition until my grand-father passed away .

A Hornby train set with the King George steam train.
Trouble is I got one every year after that. Now I have about £4,000 worth of train sets in my loft dating back to the early 60's.

I can't remember what the best present was, but I do remember that wonderful feeling when the empty pillow case that my parents put at the bottom of the bed when I went to bed, was full up when I woke up. Magic. I try to recreate that magical feeling with my own childrne.

It had to be a rubix cube as my mum said if i did it she would give me money and it was so hard i ended up taking the stickers off and doing it that way so by new year it was her party trick to show the family how talented i was i made a mint and everyone was so impressed .. she eventually caught me and beat me senseless and gave me a monster lecture i have actually bought my boy one this year history will not be repeating itself this time

I got a Pink Panther bike with a banana seat (that's where his face was, so if I needed to, ummmm~fart~, I would stand up so it wouldn't be on his face!), some roller skates with metal wheels, and a doll that played notes when you squeezed her hands, feet, or tummy!

I'll never forget the year I got a small am radio transmitter. When I plugged my reel-to-reel tape deck into it, there was enough power to broadcast music for about a 1 mile radius (so as to impress my friends). I named it "W.A.R.T." :o)
