driver side window go down automatically but not up automatically. Also, why don't any of the other windows go up or down automatically??

The automatic down feature is set on the drivers door, because that is the window that is used for toll booths (and drive in windows at business) The reason the windows do not go up automatically is safety. If someone was to get a hand (or head) caught in a window that was going up automatically, they could be seriously hurt (and the auto maker seriously sued!)

You have to be physically holding the control for the window to raise!

Its the button for the drivers side window only in the down position they can not put them on the other doors for safety reasons

witch window will still go down? is it the driver window? if so that is why the rest wont work. the driver window is the main power source to the windows. if that switch is going out the rest of the windows may not work

I dont know...I love how it goes down automatically and i think it should be able to go up also. if i ever find a car with this feature, i am going to buy it.

to keep kids or dogs from acidentally pressing the button and falling out
