You might be able to get some that have been killed basically so they wouldn't grow if you wanted them to.

I have a bracelet made out of hemp with seeds for beads I bought at a souvenir shop.

The only seeds that are legal in the US are sterilized hemp seeds commonly found in bird food. Check out the higher quality bird foods in any pet store and you will see hemp seed as one of the ingredients.

The only other way to get legal cannabis seed would be to have the proper permits for farming hemp. These are not marijuana seeds as you would think of them because they are for varieties of the plant which don't produce enough THC to be intoxicating. Also, there is just about zero chance that anyone would be able to get the proper permits, anyway. The US Government would not permit it.

In the states where marijuana is legal for medical purposes (California, Oregon, Arizona, etc.) you can possess seeds legally under state law as long as you have the proper medical permits. In some places, like California, there are "compassion clubs" that will sell seeds or clones of plants so that people can grow them. These clubs are legal under state law, but not under Federal law.

As far as Federal law goes, it makes no difference what you intend to do with the seeds. Possession is illegal and, if you have them, it is assumed that you are going to grow them for illegal purposes.

Better check state law where you are, and find out if hemp seeds are legal. Hemp and marijuana are from the same family of plants (cannabis)and the seeds are identical in appearance.

You can buy sterilized seeds. They look the same, but are no longer capable of germinating. These are used in food production, as hemp seeds are very high in protein.

I think they're trying to bust some guy who sends seeds from Canada, where it's legal. I know it USED to be legal because the seeds have no THC content.
But now, I'm not so sure.

Illegal.

Some of those places advertising seeds on line are sting operations, so watch your A$$.

It depends on your state law. In most states you cannot possess the plant in any way shape or form. I think I would pick a different project

It is illegal to posses them for any reason unless you have a prescription and live in a state where it is legal.
