Because we're Baptists, it varies from church to church. Baptists are like that. I'm one, and I love to celebrate Advent. Many Baptist churches will have an Advent wreath and will light a new candle each week, counting down the Sundays until Christmas. Some do a short reading when the candles are lighted, others don't.
In churches that follow the cycle of the church year (or the liturgical seasons) Advent gets more notice, but it's certainly not restricted to any one denomination. As for Baptists, many do and many don't. We're kind of independent that way, as you may've noticed.

I thought that Advent was a Catholic practice. As Baptist we do celebrate the season building up to Christ's birth celebration - but we do not have all of the ritual that is involved with Catholicism.

I was raised Baptist, and every time I visited a church during the Advent Season, it was practiced. Typicall, a short saying is read and a new candle is lit inside the wreath. The final one is lit on a Christmas Eve service. However, it is not as detailed as the Catholic practice is (I went to a Catholic school so I also learned their practice)

Generally speaking, no. Almost every time I've mentioned Advent to Baptists (at least American ones), the usual response is, "What's that?"
