Anyone know where the stats are?

Might have to exclude Yorkshire murders as serial killers would skewiff the stats.

An interesting question. In my opinion, the official figure of around 800 murders is an illusion. The CPS regularly alter murder charges to manslaughter in order to get a conviction and the number of murders therefore appears lower. There may well be 2,000 murders but they are masked by the CPS attitude towards shorter trials and saving money.
