If I were to give you this theme for a project, who do you think of? Or what event do you think of? I really want to find something /good/. And someone most people won't know. Artists and Writers aren't good... stray away from far-right or far-left politics. I was seriously concidering Rachel Carson or Eleanor Roosevelt.

I forgot to mention, Holocaust is off limits. Way to popular of a subject. Thank you for the suggestion though! Nothing too ancient either, thanks ^^

If you're wanting a female subj, how about Marie Antoinette? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Antoinette) for starters, but you'd need to get other ref's, for sure!)

Tsar Nicholas II, the last of the Russian royals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_II)- again, more ref's would be needed. Or, do his wife, Alexandra. Nicholas and Alexandra were executed by Bolsheviks during the 'October Revolution'

Or, for an entertaining as well as informative theme about whom few will know, how about Rasputin. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasputin) He is also from the Bolshevik era, was a mystic close to the royal family, esp to Alexandra (he's been called 'Lover of the Russian Queen') who is also believed to have been involved in their betrayal to the Bolsheviks. He is a truly fascinating character.

Good Luck!

Hannibal Barca's attempt to reform Carthage to co-exist peacefully with Rome after the 2nd Punic War only to be turned upon by his jealous countrymen & had to commit suicide rather than risk capture by the Romans.

I'd write about the Library at Alexandria. Alexander the Great started it by bringing all the scrolls and books he could lay his hands on. But in the end, a few centuries later, the library burned and almost all was lost.

I would study survival in the Holocaust and how those select few managed to survive. I've got numerous resources available to do that project as well as a copy of Elie Wiesel's "Night."
