is the tution fee of $30000 a year and living expenses of $15000 a year worth the degree?

I just read an article in the New York Times (linked below) which seems to indicate that there is a substantial difference in terms of eventual employment between students who work toward their degrees in India and those who work toward their degrees in the US.

Given the situation described in the article, unless your university in India is IIM (Indian Institutes of Management) or IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology) I would strongly suggest you pursue your studies in the US.

I do not know about the tuition fee, but getting a degree from the United States would be helpful and more recognized if you are planning to work in the U.S. AS far as living expenses I know you can talk to your school about financial help such as Federal Student Aid and a Government Grant to help. Good Luck and by all means talk to them about this because knowledge is power.

What you'll get from and American education is creativity, real world experience, and the ability to lead people. There's more. It's an attitude for success - a drive to succeed that the people I work with from China and India (who are admittedly brilliant at what they *do* do) just don't seem to have, but most Americans do.

What's that worth? Only you can answer that! (A very American answer).

I don't think it is a big deal where you get your degree from as long as you get one from an accredited university or college. India or the US it shouldn't matter. Good Luck on your undergrad. degree.

i thought india was like the american stealing job capital of the world for computers...why dont you stay? i don't mean that hostile either, like if theres more job oppurtunities there stay there cause we don't really because of job sourcing with computers

and no i dont really think the school you chose is worth that much, you could try a cheaper school, same education
