I have been friends with a guy for 11 years. He is the funniest guy and always makes me laugh.I don't know if it was just being young and immature, but I never really thought of him in a relationship way, eventhough several of my friends wanted to date him.I was never jealous and even hooked him up with a couple of them.About 8 years ago one night he told me he liked me as more than a friend and wanted to date.I just wasn't looking for that,at that time and tried to let him down easy, but he was a little hurt.Regardless, we stayed friends. He and I have both dated others throughout our friendship and his girlfriends,no matter how nice I am to them, have never liked me.Two years ago he got a new girlfriend and we lost touch, which is weird since we have never went longer than a couple of weeks not talking until then.I sent him a card and we reconnected recently. This time is different and I can see him as more than a friend, maybe I matured. My friends think he feels the same. What should I do?

1) Be SURE you're not just in a dating slump or bored right now. If you get with him and then turn him away again, you'll lose him for sure.

2) If you're ready to proceed, kiss him. He'll get the message.

Tell him what you feel, you don´t have anything to lose, you´ve already been through that when he told you he liked you and even though you didn´t feel the same at that time you managed to stay friends. So go for it!

The only way to do this is just to do it. Tell him your feelings, whatever you're feeling, with no expectations. You've known him long enough that he knows you and cares for you. You need to start off honestly. Sometimes, you have to take a risk.

I think you should go for it. If you don't, you may never get another opportunity to have him. Now is the time to put your best foot forward and give it a shot.

You have his number...give him a call. Ask him out for coffee, and while you're having your coffee....TELL him! He will be thrilled to know you feel the way you do. Right now, pick up the phone....CALL HIM! Have fun!!
