It wasn't our war to begin with.

First of all, it's an unconstitutional and illegal 'war' in which the U.S.A. should have never involved itself in the first place;
Secondly, this is an 'unwinnable war' because it involves civil unrest between divided factions within Iraq;
Thirdly, the U.S.A. is NOT there to bring democracy to Iraq. We are there for three really lame reasons:
a) The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Hussein ever since the days of Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was humiliated and criticized for not 'finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
b) The giant U.S. military-industrial complex needed a new 'war' to boost its sagging profits;
c) Dick Cheney and his Exxon-Mobil buddies want all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so they can continue to feed America's dependence on cheap, easily-accessible foreign OIL.
We 've already lost this 'war'. The blood of 655,000 Iraqis and 2,800 U.S. soldiers is on the hands of every American motorist who believes (s)he must drive a $60,000 gas-guzzling SUV. If Bush really, truly believes we'll withdraw troops by 2009, WHY is the U.S. government building the largest embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad overlooking the headquarters of the 'new' Iraqi puppet government installed by the Bush administration??
Because the U.S. intends to be in Iraq until we've sucked very drop of OIL out of that nation's land. We will be there for twenty years or more. -RKO-

Sweetie, the war IS lost - has been since Day 1! So why keep killing Americans? There is not one damn thing to be gained by keeping undersupplied, underarmed troops in the shooting gallery. Bring 'em home NOW!

Your words seem truthful and honest. that's perchance the first heartfelt message I actually have study from an Iraqi citizen it really is what i assume you to be. We in united statesa. have fairly some emphathy for the Iraqi human beings and how they are suffering. The lack of life on a each day foundation is problematical to understand, and that i'm sensible i'd be bitter too, if it were me who had lost loved ones in this way. I view the action of our squaddies and Marines as those who're following orders and are educated to act as they do. They reduce their publicity by shooting first and ask questions later. They run, truly than walk, even as on patrol to shrink their publicity to snipers and insurgents who would attempt to kill them. They shoot open doors to walled in compounds with the intention to seek protect from those who would kill them. they are on patrol on your community even as they might truly be decrease back at base, or perhaps extra useful, decrease back abode. they are purely following orders. they don't learn your language because they don't plan on being round your usa lengthy adequate to apply it. they purely pick to be abode with their family contributors's and loved ones. lets withdraw our troops, yet when we did, what would you've? instantly in any respect, that void will be crammed in with insurgents from Syria, Iran and different international places. you would have a Taliban mentality, civil conflict, and Imam's dictating their will on the human beings. If we stay, you purely would land up such as your human being usa, your human being leaders, and a democracy dictated by the Iraqi human beings. The ball is on your court.

What 'war'? The alleged 'war on terror' is not a traditional armed conflict in international law and the reference to war is only used to try to legitimize its illegality.
