Because people dream now the same way as in the medieval and ancient times, I believe that there is something in our dreams of which we are unable to understand and/or to decipher as in so many other phenomena in our lives. Yet, here is what some of our wise forefathers had to say about dreams:
CICERO:
“If the Gods love men they will certainly disclose their purposes to them in sleep”
PLATO:
He agreed to the general idea of dreams that there ware divine manifestations to the soul in sleep.
HOMER:
He accorded to some divine origin of dreams.
ARISTOTLE:
“There is a divination concerning some things in dreams not incredible.”
CAMILLE FLAMMARION”
I do not hesitate to affirm at the outset that occurrence of dreams foretelling future events with curacy must be accepted as certain.”

Yeah, I pay attention to the things I dream. I don't keep a specific dream journal, but I do write down memorable dreams every now and then.
And I have come to the conclusion that my dreams aren't wishful thinking like Freud states. Personally, I see my dreams as being a melting pot of all of the images and sounds I happened to experience and come in contact with during that particular day.
I wish they would show me things that will happen, but they just seem to be stuck on "past" mode.

Most of my dreams are almsot always hazy and a bit blurry. So, I don't remember them as well as you do. But my mother-in-law has dreams that many times give her a glimpse into the future. She ends up knowing what kind of event will take place, will it be bad for the family? or will it be harmful for anyone, will it be a happy event? And she listens to what her dreams point towards just like you. I believe it to be quiet a gift. You should listen to it, if it's been helpful to you til now, theres no harm in doing the same now.

Yes, I do. and Yes, I listen. It helps me to sort out unanswered questions that I am not even aware I am having. I can usually sort them out in my dreams. Sometmes my dreams are about something I thought I had forgotten because I wanted to forget it, but it rears it's ugly head again. That always alerts me to the fact I need to get this resolved.
Thanks for the question. I agree with what you said.

I listen to my dreams. I have had several premonitions in my dreams. I have had deceased friends visit with me in dreams. Lately I have been having a recurring theme in my dreams, or I am in the same house in my dreams, I am trying to find out what they mean. I also have flashes or quick glimpses of events flash in front of me when I am awake....

My dreams usually fill in the areas that my life is lacking. If I miss something or someone, they usually appear in my dreams. I think it has to do with our bodies amazing ability to reach equilibrium or balance. I listen to my dreams, but follow my heart and gut.

Yes, I dream almost every night too. I have a lot of bad dreams though and suffer with sleep paralysis.
Either way, I agree, dreams do help us!
