I keep getting message that I need to download new BTYahoo Browser. In order to do so I have to remove my own Norton Internet Security 2006. If I just disable it to allow new browser to download as the new browser contains Nortin Anti Virus it will conflict with my Norton Internet Security. My Norton Internet Security is better than BTYahoo's so I prefer to keep it. Problem is the new BT browser will not install unless I remove it. If I just disable it to allow the download Norton have infomed me that it will conflict. I have tried to get advise from BTYahoo but they just dont seem to understand and have been no help whatsoever. It does not make sense to have to remove a better version of Norton but I am having problems with my browser which is why I need the new one.

If you try and down load the new BT Yahoo browser on top of your Norton Internet Security 2006 then there will be some sort of conflict like it will at first try and download then stop because you already have Norton symatec on your computer, my answer would be to keep your copy of Norton and remove the tool bar that is giving you some problems and use another browser like goolge or msn, it does not have to be a yahoo browser, I use the IE 7 browser and find that quite good, I also have google tool bar but never use that as I am using the IE 7 browser, hope this is of some help to you , all the best.

Nortons is garbage an always has been for many years. Gets worse each an every years. Plus the new IE7 is junk an a huge resource hog that will slow your system to almost stopping. The combination of Nortons an IE7 will bring your system to a halt. Big resource hogs. If you can stay with IE6

I tested all three beta versions of IE7 and installed the final IE7, my pc almost died. Reverted back to IE6 an all is fine.

Plus I use a free for life antiviurs program from AOL, powered by Kaspersky Labs, Russia. Rated #1 in the world for virus detections. You will get auto updates every hour, plus excellent background scanner.

no,the norton internet security that comes with the bt yahoo browser is a on-line anti-virus and in my opinion is a dangerous idea, any anti-virus scanner should be physically installed by the user and not trusted by some virtual scanner in cyber land
as for your own version, keep it if you like,or change it to another anti-virus,but dont use any of the security software that bt offer,i have the bt home hub and i use f-secure for anti-virus,spybot and adaware for anti-spyware,and this is plenty enough security,oh yes and also i use windows defender as a last line of defence
i totally understand your problems with the bt helpline, how can bt use underpaid,non-english speaking, indian citizens to fix a technical problem with bt broadband,do the words "banging your head against a brick wall"come to mind.
if you need to you would be better off using the icon"bt broadband desktop help"this will let you have a chat on-line with a technical help desk, however it will still be with a overseas help desk in delhi,so you cant win,but it would still be better than trying to understand what they are saying, its not thier fault, its just bt trying to save money, but from what i have heard the only thing they seem to be doing is loosing customers
if you have any future bt home hub problems save the phone call and e-mail me,if i can fix it i certainly will
good luck
