My first pregnancy i had to wait 20weeks for my first and only scan, this was an eternity I wasn't convinced it was there till I saw it. It was Christmas Eve and I kept thinking i'm half way there what if they find something wrong. Luckily he was fine and it was lovely to see him although i couldn't make anything out till I got a still photo!
People years ago never even got 1 so 2 is lucky just imagine how much baby will have grown in 8 weeks.

it feels like an eternity doesn't it, and it's amazing when you have the 20 wk scan there's so much more to see.I had high blood pressure with my last baby and was scanned every four wks after my 20wk scan. Towards the end you can't really make much out it just becomes mass of huge grey pictures with the odd movement. At my last scan at 38wks they wouldn't even give me any pictures because there really wasn't anything to see. But all the same it was fantastic to have so many chances to see the development of my unborn son (although I didn't know his sex).

I am 32 weeks pregnant and I know how you feel, though the longest wait is from where I'm at on. I am excited to see my lil man on top of being uncomfortabloe all the time whether it be from heartburn or him constantly rolling in my tummy. I am just ready to have him home with the family. His big brothers ask about him everyday... things like "mommy, when is he coming again?" Good luck sweetie! It is fun but everyone gets tired of waiting at some point, certainly don't let people make you feel bad about it. : )

I had 2 and never had a scan. Don't worry too much, anyway. Your main concern should be to relax, enjoy every moment of it, keep healthy, eat well (but don't overdo it), walk as much as you can, no high heels.. Keep yourself and your baby healthy and in shape. And sleep as much as you can... you will miss sleeping soon ;).All the best! And it doesn't really matter if it's a boy or a girl, the baby will be your life anyway

I'm not pregnant but I can still remember. It's pure anticipation of the event. Obviously you are really excited. 20 weeks is when you can find out what sex it will be, so it is very exciting if you want to know. It's the centre point of the pregnancy and means your half way there.

Yes I can remember it feeling like I would never get there! The longest wait I really had was my second baby, he arrived 15 days late! He was due on May the 17th and was born on June the 1st!

I'm 14 weeks at the moment with my second and I really don't want this pregnancy to go too fast, I only want two children so I want savour every moment.
It was very different with my first though I couldn't wait to get to the 'next stage'

lucky you, where i live, we only get a scan at 20 weeks, not before.
still, better than my mum, she didn't have one at all!
By the way, many best wishes for the remainder of your pregnancy, enjoy it, its a great time..... and baby is a lot less trouble in than out!!
